Activities in the pigsty & handling
Fritz Göbel offers a range of practical products to keep pigs and piglets occupied and to aid in their day-to-day care. Piglet chew rings, chew balls and anti-stress balls provide opportunities for activity in the pen and can help to reduce undesirable or aggressive behaviour.
Herding boards are available for moving and relocating pigs. They help to guide the animals in a targeted manner whilst also creating a barrier between humans and animals. The XL herding board measures approximately 80 × 92 cm and features a large, seamless surface with no gaps or seams.
The range includes, amongst other things, automatic piglet feeders, drinking nipples, drive boards and enrichment products such as teething rings and chew balls. In addition, there are other products relating to livestock housing, feeding technology and animal husbandry that can be used for relevant tasks in pigsties.
Göbel supplies automatic piglet feeders to suit a range of requirements. The round plastic feeder has a capacity of 6 litres and is designed for feeding piglets weighing up to 10 kg. For weaned piglets, there is a 60-litre feeder with three feeding stations.
For the water supply to pigs, Göbel offers, amongst other things, bite-on nipples with 3/4, 1/2 and 3/8-inch connections, spray nipples and a pressurised nipple for pigs for direct connection to the water mains.
The range includes various enrichment products for piglets, including piglet teething rings with chains, teething balls for attaching to play chains, and anti-stress balls. These provide additional ways for the piglets to keep themselves occupied in the pen.
A herding board is used to guide pigs in a controlled manner when moving them between pens or relocating them, and to create a barrier between humans and animals. The Göbel XL herding board measures approximately 80 × 92 cm, weighs around 3.5 kg and is designed without any gaps or seams.
