Ensure the electrical current flows safely and check that the fence is working properly
A properly functioning electric fence requires reliable connections and suitable earthing. Fritz Göbel offers, amongst other things, earth stakes, connection cables and connectors for wire, stranded wire, rope and electric fence tape. Fence and energiser testers can also be used to check whether there is voltage on the fence or to determine the output of the electric fence energiser. Fence switches allow you to switch the fence system on, off or change its settings as required.
Set up, tension and use flexibly
The right accessories also make working on the pasture fence easier, both during installation and day-to-day use. Depending on the model, wire tensioners allow you to tighten and loosen wire, rope or stranded wire without having to cut the conductor material. For mobile fencing systems, Fritz Göbel offers a range of pasture reels for quickly rolling out and reeling in the fencing material. Gate handles and gate accessories complement the fencing system at regularly used access points.
The type of pasture fencing accessories required depends on the design and intended use of the fencing system. In addition to posts, fencing material and an electric fence energiser, you may also need ground stakes and connection cables, suitable connectors, gate handles, installation tools, and fence and energiser testers. For portable fencing systems, pasture reels can also make setting up and taking down the fence easier.
Earthing is an important part of an electric fence’s circuit. Proper earthing helps to ensure that, upon contact with the fence, the current is reliably channelled back through the ground to the electric fence energiser.
Fritz Göbel offers suitable connectors for different conductor materials – for example, tape connectors for various tape widths and current connectors for electric fence cables. The connector should be suited to the conductor material used to ensure that the current is reliably conducted throughout the fencing system.
A fence tester can be used to check the voltage on an electric fence. Fritz Göbel offers a range of models for this purpose, including devices with LED displays and digital fence testers. With suitable power supply testers, you can also check the power output directly at the pasture fence power supply unit and narrow down the location of faults within the fencing system.
Depending on the design of the pasture gate, gate handles, gate handle insulators and other gate accessories may be required. Fritz Göbel offers a range of gate handle models and components for this purpose. It is essential that the gate can be opened and closed easily and that the electrical connection to the fencing system is taken into account.
Fence reels make it easier to quickly roll out and roll up fencing material and are particularly useful for mobile fencing systems or those that are regularly reconfigured. Fritz Göbel offers a range of models for stranded wire, solid wire and flat wire – from compact models to larger reels for correspondingly longer lengths of fencing.
A fence switch allows you to switch electric fence systems on and off selectively or to control individual sections of the fence. The Fritz Göbel fence switch has four functions and can also be used for two separate fence systems. This allows you to control individual sections of the fence system without having to alter the entire installation.
