Horses, cattle or sheep: choosing the right clippers
The requirements for a clipping machine vary depending on the type of animal and the clipping task. For horses, for example, there are machines for full-body clipping as well as smaller units for partial and contour clipping. For cattle, the range includes high-performance cattle clippers and combined cattle/horse models. For sheep, clippers and blade sets specially designed for wool shearing are used.
Clippers from established brands and our own GRT models
As well as clippers from Aesculap, Heiniger and Lister, Fritz Göbel offers its own range of clippers under the GRT brand, designed for different animal species and requirements. The range extends from compact clippers for detailed work to high-performance models for shearing horses, cattle and sheep.
Fritz Göbel offers a range of clippers for horses from Aesculap and Heiniger. The selection includes both corded and cordless clippers, as well as smaller units for detailed work. Which model is suitable depends, amongst other things, on whether you intend to clip the horse’s whole body, specific areas or just the contours.
The range includes various cordless horse clippers. Aesculap, for example, offers several Bonum models as well as units from the Econom CL series; Heiniger’s range includes, amongst others, cordless models from the Xplorer and Saphir ranges. Power, running time, size and intended use vary depending on the machine
Fritz Göbel stocks specialised sheep shearing machines from various manufacturers. These include, amongst others, the Aesculap Econom Nova, various Heiniger models such as the XPERT 2-Speed, and shearing machines from Lister. A range of compatible shearing blades and hand shears is also available.
The Fritz Göbel range includes specialist cattle clippers as well as models that can be used on both cattle and horses. For example, Fritz Göbel stocks relevant equipment from Aesculap and Heiniger, as well as the Lister Super 3000 for cattle.
The GRT series from Fritz Göbel comprises clippers for various animal species and shearing tasks. These include, for example, the GRT X-ONE for small animals and detailed work on horses and cattle, the GRT X-PRO for cattle, and the GRT X-PRO Horse for shearing horses. For sheep shearing, suitable models are also available: the GRT X-MAX as a cordless model and the GRT X-MAXcord as a corded version.
The right clipper blade depends on the machine, the type of animal, the coat texture and the desired cutting length. Fritz Göbel stocks a wide range of clipper heads and blades for various models. Aesculap, for example, offers clipping heads with different cutting heights; Heiniger provides specialised blades for horses, cattle and sheep, as well as for different coat types.
