Take into account the size, the animal and the installation situation
Whether it’s a cat flap or a dog flap: the size of the pet and the intended installation location are key factors. Fritz Göbel offers PetSafe pet doors in a range of sizes and designs. The aluminium pet doors, for example, range from small to extra-large; for cats, there is a choice of various manual, magnetic and electronically controlled solutions.
Installation also varies depending on the model. Suitable solutions and accessories are available for doors, walls and certain glass and metal fixtures.
From manual flaps to microchip recognition
Depending on how access is to be controlled, various operating principles are available. Manual cat flaps, for example, allow for different settings for entry and exit via a 4-way latch.
Access can be controlled even more precisely with a microchip-operated cat flap: the PetSafe microchip cat flap recognises individual microchip IDs and can be programmed for up to 40 cats. This allows your own cat to use the flap, whilst other cats are denied access.
The range includes a variety of PetSafe cat flaps, dog flaps and pet doors. These include manual and magnetic flaps, models in various sizes, and a microchip-enabled cat flap. Tunnel extensions, adaptors and replacement flaps complete the range.
The PetSafe microchip cat flap reads the cat’s unique microchip ID. No additional collar is required. Up to 40 microchipped cats can be programmed into the system. This allows access to be denied to animals that are not registered.
With a cat flap featuring a 4-way lock, you can specify the direction in which the cat can use the flap. On the relevant PetSafe model, the available settings are ‘in only’, ‘out only’, ‘fully open’ and ‘fully closed’.
Fritz Göbel supplies, amongst other things, tunnel extensions and adaptors for certain PetSafe cat flaps. The tunnel extension for the microchip cat flap, for example, is 50 mm deep; there is also an adaptor for fitting into glass doors.
